Custom Duty Abolish on Cancer Medicine: In Budget 2025, the government has made an important announcement and has completely abolished the custom duty on 36 medicines used in serious diseases including cancer. In such a situation, now the prices of these medicines will come down. In the budget speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that now patients of cancer and other serious diseases will get 36 life-saving medicines without tax. Apart from this, the Finance Minister said that the government will provide the facility of setting up ‘day care’ cancer centers in all district hospitals in the next 3 years.

36 more medicines and 13 new patient assistance programmes will be fully exempted from basic customs duty, where they are supplied free of cost to patients.
