After this, BSNL also recorded profit for two consecutive quarters. However, due to the long wait for BSNL’s 5G and 4G service, BSNL has been continuously losing customers for the last few months. Testing results
According to a report in The New Indian Express, regarding BSNL’s 5G launch, a senior official from the Department of Telecommunications said that testing of the equipment manufactured in the country to provide 5G service is ongoing and no problems have been observed so far. According to the official, “All the equipment is working properly without any problems, hence we estimate that the commercial launch of 5G service will take place in both the cities by December 2025.”
4G service is also in its initial stages.
BSNL had soft launched its 4G service in Delhi some time back. It may do so in many more cities soon. However, due to the delay in launching the service, BSNL has been continuously losing customers for a long time. In such a situation, it is expected that by launching 4G and 5G services in major cities, it will be able to get back the lost customers. According to reports, this delay by BSNL is mainly due to developing its own equipment. Let us tell you that BSNL wants to provide such 4G and 5G service to its customers, which is being provided completely on the basis of equipment made in the country.
Work is going on on one lakh 4G sites
