Now, removing their salary discrepancy, a committee was formed regarding the salary increase.

At the same time, the number of employees in SAIL is 1600, while in BSP 500 junior officers are involved. Taking a serious decision on which a committee has been constituted and after studying various aspects, it has been recommended to SAIL. SAIL has prepared the draft. The SAIL-SAFI meeting is scheduled to take place in September. After which the relevant order will be issued.

The same once again after the wage revision of SAIL employees, junior officers are not getting the benefit of their pay grade. The employee got MGB in 2012 and then in 2017 . Due to which a lot of differences are being seen. At the same time, the loss in their salary has increased further. Due to which there is resentment among the employees.

Earlier, a look at the salary discrepancy of junior officers

  • Let us inform that in February 1993, 23 people were appointed as Senior TOTs. Basic grades S-6 7 8 and 9 were being provided to all these employees simultaneously. In 2008, the employees were appointed as junior officers, today their basic grade has been fixed at E-4 i.e. ₹95560.
  • In 2010, the employees who were promoted and appointed as junior officers. Today his basic grade e-4 or not is ₹87750.
  • For the employees who became junior officers in 2018, today the basic grade is E-1, under which they are being provided ₹ 91390 as salary.
  • The same employees who have not yet become junior officers. His grade is S-11 i.e. ₹ 85065.

After which, along with getting the benefits of promotion, there is resentment among the employees about not increasing the salary.
