According to the order, about 42,600 pensioners who were retired between January 1, 2016 and June 30, 2021, will be paid a one-time payment of Rs. 915 crore. The burden will be The revised pension will be paid in lump sum to the pensioners from July 1. This is being considered as a big master stroke of the Punjab government before the upcoming elections.

  • According to media reports, in September, the Punjab government had increased the City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) of the state employees from Rs 100 to Rs 200, while in cities where it was Rs 120, it has been increased to Rs 240.
  • Rural allowance will now be 5 percent instead of 6, but, due to the increase in basic salary, now this amount will be more than before. Apart from this, the government has increased the medical allowance from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000.
  • Mobile allowance of D and C category employees has been increased from Rs 250 to Rs 500, mobile allowance of B category employees has been increased from Rs 300 to Rs 600.




  • Mobile allowance for A category employees has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000.
  • Traveling allowance for C and D category employees has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1000.
  • Traveling allowance for B category employees has been increased from Rs 750 to Rs 1,500.
  • Traveling allowance for A category employees has been increased from Rs.1,000 to Rs.2000.
