The name of North East Small Finance Bank has been changed to ‘Slice Small Finance Bank Limited’. The Reserve Bank of India approved it on 21 May 2025. It has got approval under the rules of Reserve Bank of India 1934. But now the question is arising in the minds of the customers of this bank that what will happen to the check book, IFSC code? How will this change affect the customers?
According to the rules of Reserve Bank of India, even after changing the name of the bank, customers will be able to transact through their old passbooks, debit cards and check books. At the same time, there will be no change in the IFSC code till a separate notification is issued.
However, this change will not happen immediately. This will take some time. The bank will share information about the customers getting new passbooks, checkbooks, debit cards etc. For any help, customers can visit their nearest branch. Until any notification is issued by the bank. Then the customers will continue to transact with old checkbooks, passbooks and debit cards.
The change in the name of the bank will not affect your documents immediately. In such a situation, customers do not have to take any action without getting instructions from the bank.
