Today is the sixth Navratri and the fourth Saturday of the month of September. Most people are confused whether banks are open on the fourth Saturday? If you are also planning to go to the bank today, then first find out whether the bank branches are open or not. According to the rules of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), banks are closed only on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Whereas on the first, third and if there is any fifth Saturday, then banks remain open as usual on that day. Since 27 September is the fourth Saturday, therefore all government and private banks will remain closed on this day.

  • September 3 (Wednesday): Karma Puja in Ranchi.
  • September 4 (Thursday): Onam in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
  • September 5 (Friday): Eid-e-Milad/Thiruvonam in several cities including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad.
  • September 6 (Saturday): Eid-e-Milad/Indra Jatra in Gangtok, Jammu, Raipur and Srinagar.
  • September 12 (Friday): Friday after Eid-e-Milad in Jammu and Srinagar.
  • September 22 (Monday): Navratri establishment in Jaipur.
  • September 23 (Tuesday): Maharaja Hari Singh Jayanti in Jammu and Srinagar.
  • September 29 (Monday): Maha Saptami/Durga Puja in Agartala, Gangtok and Kolkata.
  • September 30 (Tuesday): Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami in several cities including Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi.
