Bank Holiday on 7 November 2025 : Banks are going to be closed tomorrow. All government, private and rural banks will not open on Friday, 7 November. However, banks will remain closed only in one state, Meghalaya.
Banks will remain open in all other states. According to the list of holidays of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), continuous holidays have been declared in different states from 5 November to 9 November. However, these holidays are not simultaneously in the entire country, but every state is closed due to festivals. Let us know why RBI has declared Friday holiday.

Banks will remain closed on Friday
The Wangala Festival, a major festival of the Garo tribe of Meghalaya, is also known as the Drum Festival. Celebrated after the harvest, Wangala is celebrated to thank the Sun God, Saljong. Wangala means drumming. Garo men play traditional drums, and women wear colorful clothing. People celebrate by singing folk songs.
When are banks closed again in November?
November 7 (Friday): Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on account of the traditional Wangala Festival.
November 8 (Saturday): Banks will be closed across the country on this day as it is a second Saturday. Banks are also closed in Karnataka for Kanakadasa Jayanti.
November 9 (Sunday): All bank branches across the country will be closed on Sunday. Banks will also be closed on all Sundays, November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, and on the second and fourth Saturdays, November 22.
