Bank Holiday: Banks are going to remain closed tomorrow on Wednesday. Ganesh Chaturthi is on 27th August. Banks will remain closed in many states of the country due to Ganesh Chaturthi.

Banks are going to remain closed for four days this week. The first holiday was on Monday. Now banks will remain closed on Wednesday. Know here as per RBI’s list, when and where banks will remain closed in which states of the country.

In which states will the banks remain closed on 27th August

Banks are going to be closed in many states on Wednesday and Thursday due to Ganesh Chaturthi. According to the holiday list released by RBI, banks will be closed in many states on August 27 and August 28. These holidays have been given due to different festivals and local festivals. Banks will be closed in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Vijayawada on Wednesday, August 27. Festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Samvatsari and Ganesh Puja will be celebrated on this day.

Ganesh Chaturthi

Ganesh Chaturthi is a major festival of Hinduism, which is celebrated on Shukla Paksha Chaturthi of Bhadrapada month. On this day, devotees worship Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of obstacles, and Ganpati is installed in homes. In many places, it is also known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Varasiddhi Vinayak Vrat. It is believed that worshipping Ganesha on this day brings happiness and prosperity in the family and removes obstacles from life.

Samvatsari

In Jainism, Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi is celebrated as Samvatsari festival. It is a day of seeking forgiveness and self-purification, in which people ask each other for forgiveness. All these holidays are not the same in all states. That is, where the festival is being celebrated, banks will remain closed. Banks will work normally in the rest of the country. Customers will be able to avail their facilities even when the bank is closed. Net banking, mobile banking, UPI and ATM services will not be fully beneficial.
