Bank Holiday: If you’re planning a trip to the bank today, October 10, 2025, be sure to read this news first. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list, all public and private banks in Himachal Pradesh will be closed today on the occasion of Karva Chauth. However, banks in all other states will remain open as usual and will continue their daily operations.

The festival of Karva Chauth is very special for married women. On this day, women observe a waterless fast to pray for their husbands’ long life and happiness. After fasting without water all day, the fast is broken only after viewing the moon and worshipping it at night.

According to the RBI holiday list, today’s holiday is a state-level holiday only, so its impact will be limited to Himachal Pradesh. However, banks in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and other states will remain open as scheduled.

However, customers whose banks are closed can easily conduct their transactions through online banking, mobile apps, or ATM services. These digital services will not be affected by the holiday.

In the coming days, bank holidays will be observed in different states due to festivals like Dussehra and Valmiki Jayanti. Therefore, before starting any important business, be sure to check the RBI’s bank holiday list for October 2025.
