Bank Holiday: Banks are going to remain closed tomorrow on Wednesday as well. All public and private sector banks will remain closed in this state of the country.

Karma Puja will be celebrated in Jharkhand on Wednesday, September 3. Karma Puja is a major festival of Jharkhand, especially Ranchi and surrounding tribal areas. This festival is celebrated in the month of Bhadrapada and is considered a symbol of brother-sister love, happiness and prosperity. On this day, women and girls keep fast and bring a branch of Karma tree and worship it.

  • September 4 (Thursday): Onam in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
  • September 5 (Friday): Eid-e-Milad/Thiruvonam in many cities including Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad.
  • September 6 (Saturday): Eid-e-Milad/Indrajatra in Gangtok, Jammu, Raipur and Srinagar.
  • September 12 (Friday): Friday after Eid-e-Milad in Jammu and Srinagar.
  • September 22 (Monday): Navratri establishment in Jaipur.
  • September 23 (Tuesday): Maharaja Hari Singh Jayanti in Jammu and Srinagar.
  • September 29 (Monday): Maha Saptami/Durga Puja in Agartala, Gangtok and Kolkata.
  • September 30 (Tuesday): Maha Ashtami/Durga Ashtami in several cities including Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi.
