The Yogi government is launching a call center for patients enrolled in the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Once this call center opens, patients can book their appointments from home simply by calling.
Which number will the appointment be used for?
At a ceremony held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Center, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak announced that Ayushman Bharat cardholders can now book their appointments simply by calling the toll-free number 180018004444. After booking an appointment, people won’t have to wait in long queues at the hospital.
What is the Ayushman Bharat Scheme?
The Ayushman Bharat Scheme is a health insurance scheme run by the Government of India. This scheme provides free insurance of ₹5 lakh per family per year. This card can be used at any private or public hospital listed across the country. This scheme is designed to benefit over 100 million poor and vulnerable families.
How is the Ayushman Card made?
Getting an Ayushman Bharat Card is now very easy. This card is issued under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) of the Government of India. You can even get this card made from the comfort of your home.
- First, download the Ayushman app on your phone.
- After that, you’ll need to select your language.
- After selecting the language, log in and click on Beneficiary.
- After this, you’ll need to enter the captcha and mobile number.
- The Search for Beneficiary page will open. Here, you’ll need to select PM-JAY as the scheme.
- After this, you’ll need to select your state and district and enter your Aadhaar number to log in to the app.
- The Ayushman cards of your household members will appear. Those who don’t have an Ayushman card will see “Authenticate” next to their name.
- Now, where you see “Authenticate,” tap on it and enter the member’s Aadhaar number.
- You’ll receive an OTP. After entering that OTP, a photo of the member will be clicked.
- After this, you’ll need to enter the member’s mobile number and their relationship to you. After completing e-KYC, you’ll need to submit the form.
- After all the information is verified, the Ayushman card of that member will be made.
