Ayodhya will not call disputed parties in TV debates during Bhoomi Pujan’, Yogi government seeks written assurance from news channels

Written assurance has been sought from the Head of the Institutes in Undertaking. It said, “Law and order will be maintained and if there is any disturbance in any way, it will be my personal responsibility.”

The Yogi Adityanath government of UP has sought written assurances from the TV channels covering the Bhoomi Poojan of the Ram temple construction to be held in Ayodhya on August 5, not to call the disputed party in a TV debate. The District Magistrate of Ayodhya has directed that any news channel wishing to have coverage of the event in Ayodhya must necessarily give undertaking that they will neither call nor disputed any disputed party in the debate on the channel on the issue. Will make any comment on any religion, community or sect or any specific person.



According to the format issued by the district administration, Undertaking states that only electronic media institutions will be responsible for any law and order disturbances caused by the channel. Written assurance has been sought from the Head of the Institutes in Undertaking. It said, “Law and order will be maintained and if there is any disturbance in any way, then it will be my personal responsibility.”

There is a need to seek permission under nine items in the format sent to news channels. It also includes identifying a private indoor location for a program. Further, it is stated that no public space will be used for this purpose.

Undertaking has been asked to guarantee that no disputed party will be called in the debate. Apart from this, no comment will be made on any religion, sect, creed or individual during the debate. The channels have also been asked to follow social distancing. The instruction states that there should be no crowd other than the panelist at the time of recording. Whatever people are there, everyone should wear masks.



Speaking to The Indian Express, Deputy Director Information Muralidhar Singh said, “The media will have no problem covering this event. All arrangements are being made for this. ” He said, “There will be a separate media center and there will be live telecast. Due to law and order and Kovid, news channels will have to seek prior permission and ensure that there is no public meeting, no controversial statement and proper protocol is maintained. ” Let us know that PM Narendra Modi will participate in the Bhoomi Poojan program of Ram temple construction in Ayodhya on August 5 and will lay the foundation stone for it.
