Now the question is, can a torn note from an ATM be returned? The answer is yes. Today, we’re going to tell you about the process for exchanging a torn note from an ATM machine.
The Reserve Bank of India has established rules for exchanging torn notes dispensed from ATMs. Therefore, you won’t face any difficulties exchanging torn notes from ATMs. The process is simple and easy. In this process, you first need to go to the bank whose ATM dispensed the torn note. After visiting the bank, you need to fill out an application. In the application, you’ll need to provide several important details.
In this application, you must enter details such as the date and time of withdrawal, the amount of money withdrawn, the ATM from which it was withdrawn, etc. You must also keep a copy of the mini-statement generated by the ATM machine when withdrawing money. If you don’t have a mini statement, you must provide the transaction details in the application. Submit the application. After this, the bank will replace the torn note dispensed from the ATM machine. It’s important to be aware of this rule.
