Actually, it’s a huge nod to Munir’s “professionalism” and his work in keeping the two countries tight (let’s be real, the military bond here is the real backbone of the relationship).
And here’s the kicker. This isn’t just about a shiny medal.
Specifically, Munir met with the Saudi Defence Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, to talk shop about “regional security dynamics.” As a result, they’ve spent the last few days digging into military cooperation and those messy geopolitical challenges that keep everyone up at night. And then Y followed. Pakistan reaffirmed its total commitment to protecting the Kingdom’s “security and stability” (those too).
In fact, the timing is everything. The thing is, Munir was recently promoted to the newly created post of Chief of Defence Forces. Basically, his job is to sync up Pakistan’s Army, Navy, and Air Force like never before.
Consequently, the Saudi leadership is making it clear they see him as the key man for regional peace. Instead of a tidy wrap-up, the visit is still ongoing with more high-level meetings on the schedule.
And then Y followed. The “brotherly ties” narrative is being pushed hard by both Islamabad and Riyadh….![]()
