NNoida International Airport formally resumed passenger flight operations on Monday with the landing of the first IndiGo flight from Lucknow, officials said.

The Indigo flight departed from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport at 7.12 am and landed at Jewar airport at 7.58 am.
Farmers on the first flight According to information received, the first flight departed from the same airport for Lucknow shortly thereafter. The plane also carried villagers from the Jewar area whose land was acquired by the state government for the airport’s first phase development. This marks the formal start of flight operations at this new project in Jewar, which has been developed with the aim of strengthening air connectivity between western Uttar Pradesh, the National Capital Region (NCR), and other parts of the country.
MLA and YEIDA CEO were present It is being told that the first flight departed at around 8:19 am, in which Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rakesh Singh along with other officials were present. Officials said that the new air service will benefit business travellers, students, professionals and common travellers and will also boost regional development. They said that the airport has been developed as a multimodal transport hub which has connectivity with air, road and other modes of transport
