Friendship with Pakistan and betrayal with India is costing Turkey dearly. After Delhi airport, now Ahmedabad and Mumbai airports have also ended their agreement with Celebi.

Friendship with Pakistan and betrayal with India is costing Turkey dearly. After Delhi Airport, now Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport of Ahmedabad and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport of Mumbai have also ended their agreement with Celebi. An official statement has also come regarding this. This decision has been taken after the Indian Government cancelled the clearance of Turkey’s Celebi Airport Services India Pvt. Ltd.

Celebi Airport Services India is a part of Turkey’s Celebi Group. It used to provide services at 9 major Indian airports like Mumbai, Delhi, Kochi, Kannur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Ahmedabad and Chennai. Let us tell you that when India launched Operation Sindoor against terrorism, Turkey supported Pakistan instead of India. Since then, the people of India are very angry with Turkey and Boycott Turkey is running like a campaign on social media.

Earlier on Thursday, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol had announced that “We had received requests from across the country to ban the Celebi company. Keeping in mind the national security and taking these requests seriously, the ministry has revoked the security clearance of this company.” An official order issued by the Aviation Ministry said, “Celebi NAS Airport Services India Limited had received security clearance on 21 November 2022, but now using the powers of the Director General of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCS), the security clearance of the company has been revoked with immediate effect, which is a step taken in the interest of national security.”

This order has been issued by Sunil Yadav, Joint Director (Operations) of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). The government has made it clear that the security of the country and protection of national interests are paramount, and the purpose of this decision is to ensure that all security standards are followed. Meanwhile, the country’s leading universities suspended their academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Turkish institutions, citing national security concerns.

Jamia Millia Islamia on Thursday issued a statement announcing the immediate suspension of all MoUs with any institution affiliated with the Government of the Republic of Turkey. The move comes after Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) suspended its own MoU with Turkey’s Inonu University.
