34% increase in salary expected
According to the latest report of brokerage company Ambit Capital published in Economic Times, the salary of central employees can increase by 30 to 34 percent under the 8th Pay Commission. If such an increase is made by the government, then about 1.1 crore employees and pensioners will get direct benefit.
Salary had increased so much in the 7th Pay Commission
Actually, every 10 years the government constitutes a new pay commission, whose job is to review the salary, allowances and benefits of central employees. This is done so that the salary of government employees and pensioners can be in line with inflation and the private sector. Currently, the 7th Pay Commission is going on. Under the 7th Pay Commission, the salary of central employees was increased by 14 percent. This was the lowest increase since 1970. At the same time, employees have a lot of expectations from the government in the 8th Pay Commission.
How would the new pay commission be implemented?

The commission will prepare its recommendations and submit them to the government, then after getting the approval of the government, it will be implemented. Ambit Capital report states that the 8th Pay Commission will benefit 44 lakh central government employees and 68 lakh pensioners.
