8th Pay Commission: Central employees are waiting for the formation of the 8th Pay Commission since January. Updated news has come out regarding this. The central government has given important information on this in the Parliament. During the monsoon session, Rajya Sabha MP Sagarika Ghosh asked three questions related to the Pay Commission, to which she also got answers. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary has given the answer to these questions in writing, due to which the expectations of the employees have increased again.
What did the Union Minister say about the 8th Pay Commission?
Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary gave information on the question related to the date of notification of the Pay Commission. He said that the government has decided to constitute the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC). For this, suggestions have been sought from major stakeholders, including the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Personnel and Training and various states. He said that the official notification of the commission will be issued at the appropriate time. Not only this, he also clarified that the commission will give its recommendations within the prescribed Terms of Reference (TOR) and time limit. After this answer of the minister, the expectations of the employees have been fulfilled.

Taking this tradition forward, the central government has announced the 8th Pay Commission in January this year, due to which employees are expected to get better salary and pension.
When is the 8th Pay Commission likely to be implemented?
The recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission can be implemented by mid-2026. This commission can increase the salary on the basis of fitment factor, due to which a big increase in the salary of central employees is expected.
