7th Pay Commission, 7th CPC Latest News, Salaries of Retired Central Govt Officials: Modi government is working on the salary payment to the central employees who are re-contracting after retirement. A government is working on pay-related rules to remove disparities in the salaries of retired employees who have been appointed in different ministries and departments.
The Ministry of Finance is working on various criteria to remove this inefficiency of retired central government employees. The Department of Expenditure, which comes under the finance ministry, said in a draft in this regard on August 13 that there are no norms on the ‘salary’ to be given for appointing retired central government employees as contracts and consultants in ministries and departments. .

The draft states that in such a situation these employees should be given a fixed monthly salary. These workers should be deducted from the basic pension from the salary received at the time of fixed salary retirement.

According to the memorandum, if the employees are recruited in a separate service or cadre through direct recruitment, then they will be given a pay protection. The employees will get this facility under FR 22-B (1) of Seventh Pay Commission.
