Allowances under the Seventh Pay Commission
Central employees currently get salary and allowances under the structure of the Seventh Pay Commission. These include dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance (HRA), travel allowance, children’s education allowance, hostel subsidy etc. The 8th Pay Commission is likely to be implemented from January 1, 2026.
