No announcement yet on DA arrears

Sources associated with the cabinet meeting are also claiming that the government may postpone the DA, which is currently applicable from January, for some time. That is why no announcement has been made regarding this yet. Employees’ organizations are hoping that the government may announce the payment of arrears of 18 months this time. Actually, the central employees have been demanding to give arrears of 18 months for a long time. Let us tell you that the government employees were not given dearness allowance from January 2020 to June 2021 during the Corona period.

At present, the employees get 38 percent DA.

Central employees and their organizations have been demanding DA during this period. In the past, the government had also clarified its stand on this. Let us tell you that currently the employees get money on the basis of 38 percent DA. It is expected to increase by 4 percent to 42 percent from January. But since it has not been announced yet, it is also expected that before Holi, the government will give some good news on DA arrears of 18 months.

Recently, on DA arrears, Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chowdhary had said that a demand is being made to issue arrears for 18 consecutive months from the employees’ organizations. He told that the Central Government had decided not to release the three installments of Dearness Allowance due to the Corona epidemic. He told that the government is facing financial crisis due to the lockdown imposed during Corona.
