Today the Shramik Express was going to leave from Bandra station for Bihar. Earlier on April 14, a huge crowd of migrant laborers gathered at Mumbai’s Bandra railway station. All these workers reached the station to go home. The workers hoped that the lockdown (first phase) would end, but due to the havoc of Corona, PM Narendra Modi had extended the lockdown period to 3 May.
3 FIRs were registered in connection with the mob in Bandra, Mumbai. In the first FIR, a case was registered against 1000 workers for the charge of not moving despite the appeal. In this case, the police had arrested a person named Vinay Dubey.
Amid the lockdown, Vinay Dubey is accused of misleading the crowd. Vinay Dubey was running the campaign ‘Let’s go home’. In his post shared on Facebook, he had said that the team is in Bandra.
