The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 has become one of the most popular smartphones in India even before its official launch in the country. While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 India was earlier expected in February, it has now been reported that Xiaomi’s first 48-megapixel camera smartphone will be launched in March this year. Other than that, Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Go alongside the Redmi Note 7 smartphone.

According to a report by MySmartPrice, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 India launch has been postponed to March now and while the exact launch date is not yet confirmed, Xiaomi is already teasing the Redmi Note 7 in India with Manu Kumar Jain even meeting some Mi fans in order to promote the new Redmi Note 7.

Coming to its prices, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 price in India is expected to start at roughly Rs. 10,000 since the smartphone was launched at 999 yuan (roughly Rs. 10,390) for the 3GB RAM version while the 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM versions of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 are priced at 1199 yuan (roughly Rs. 12,460) and 1399 yuan (roughly Rs. 14,540), respectively. If the Redmi Note 7 is lauched at a similar price point in India, it will be even cheaper that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro which starts at Rs. 13,999.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 will sport a 6.3-inch full HD+ (2340 ×1080 pixels) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop notch design, 2.5D curved glass, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with Adreno 512 GPU while it will further come in 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage version, expandable via microSD. While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 runs Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI on top, it comes with dual SIM connectivity.

For optics, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 comes with a dual rear camera setup including a 48-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture, EIS, 0.8μm pixel size, PDAF and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with LED flash. At the front, there is a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, AI beauty and more. Other features of the smartphone include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB Type-C support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and a 4,000mAh battery.
