  1. Why you can not inform the new IFSC code by e-mail ,mobile or telephone details of which are available in the KYC document? instead of asking us to find out the new IFSC code through tedious process?

    • The above described process is not at all tedious and it will hardly take 2 minutes for customer to search the IFSC and of course it is not possible for bank having such huge customer base to text IFSC to each and every customer and it is pointless also since that can easily be done by customer at his/her end

    • I agree with Mr. Arnab, We are getting charges for SMS in accounts, let us use Technology to make life more easy

  2. I fully agree with Arnab. It should be the responsibility of the bank to inform the customer for the new IFSC code.

  6. As I m not a regular visitor to the bank nor I check mails for such reasons,it’s mandatory for bank to inform each n every customer regarding these changes as per KYC available in the bank for every registered customer, instead expecting customers to go through the tedious process of finding out any changes made by the bank

  7. SBI is failing to do its duty by asking the account holder to find the new IFSC code. Will you be kind enough to request your mailing agency/department to mail information since you have this information with you?

  8. yes, e-mail the new IFSC code to the customer. You change we need to break our head to find out . what about customers who dont have
    internet facility, even illiterate ones?
savithri gopalan/ A/C HOLDER IN SBI,

  9. Rightly questioned by Mr. Chowdhury. The Bank itself should notify the account holders of the changed code of IFSC of the concerned branch.

  10. Request SBI, if my brach IFSC code is changed, it should be either published in leading news paper or it can be sent email to individuals, so that people can be aware & take necessary action. Hope the same will accepted to SBI management.

  11. The Bank must have to inform their account holders the latest updates directly. Why the Bank can not inform the new IFSC code by e-mail ,mobile or telephone details of which are available in the KYC document? instead of asking us to find out the new IFSC code through tedious process?

  12. I deem it as your duty to inform the account holders by email, SMS etc the changes in the IFSC codes etc.

  16. Why you can not inform the new IFSC code by e-mail ,mobile details of which are available in the KYC document? instead of asking us to find out the new IFSC code through tedious process?

  17. Let all the customers be informed the change by SMS or the email id provided. It’s not a confidential matter either.

  18. I am interested to know the new IFSC code No. of the SBI Rajbhawan branch Bhubaneswar in Odisha but qute unable to locate the same.Kindly guide me in locating that number. Thanking you I remain.

  19. Looks like the SBI does not need ordinary customer/ citizens to put their hard earned money into their account, they want only fraud and trickster. Keep you and me in the dark and squeeze money out of ordinary people quoting some charges.

  20. If there is any change in the IFSC code, I expect a message informing of the change if any. Why you ask me to check. It is not appropriate

  21. My branch of SBI is at S.P. Road DehraDun in Uttarakhand.Kindly tell me my IFSC code if it is changed

  22. Probably, somebody must be trying to misuse or hack personal data. Otherwise, individual branch must have informed to us. Please, beware of all these fake sites.

  23. 24. I agree. This is the least the Bank can do when it sends email/ sms when our account with SBI is debited. It will save the customers a lot of time especially the senior citizens.

  25. Fully supporting Arab Kanya Chaudhuri’s
    View.
It is moral duty of SBI management to inform individual account holder since levying SMS charges from customers opted for such services. And also member
Customers having internet banking account and SBI home branch already having email ID etc.

  26. SBI service has become worse after taking over all associated banks, we were getting an excellent services from SBT (Travancore) prior to its take over. This bank, SBI is not even issuing the TDS certificates on time. The bank have email ids, mobile nos of all customers. Why can’t they send the TDS certificate thro e-mail to it’s customers when one quarter is over. Why people will approach the bank every time for collecting the certificate? Let them learn from new generation banks.
The bank will deduct charges if minimum balance is not your account. But they didn’t send any intimation to its customers about insufficient balance in the account or about the deduction from your account. So for what purpose, you are collecting the email id, mobile nos from the customers?

  27. The SBI must inform all the custo0mers via SAMs or email as p[er the address records with them regarding the change of IFSC Code. It is called as Corporate Social Responsibility. It comes from Good Governance. Careless banking systems but they call it as Customers Friendly and Customer Relations or Customer cate etc., All bogus and humbug

  28. Your SBI BRANCH DETAILS is confusing. There is no change in the IFSC. Some of the items carry no information, e.g. Branch Type, SWIFT Code. So, not clear what is relevant and what the missing details imply.

As a fully computerized very large bank, which needed 2 changes in all account nos. and made a hash of transcribing old records, one expects you could have employed a better Web Designer and Data Management System, instead of going for the cheapest and worst in the market.

For a bank of your size, one expects a better back office function. Instead of this roundabout and confusing method, you should have simply sent an email / SMS / both to each customer informing the changed IFSC.

  29. जानकारी देने के लिए धन्यवाद पर सर अब IFSC कोड है क्या औरचैकबुक वहीचलेंगी या दूसरी लेनी पड़ेगी कृपया बताएं

  30. SBI should send its IFSC to every customer thrugh SMS or through e-mail. You have changed IFSC we did not ask you ro change so to know your IFSC why should we go on seaeching in internet??? An uneducated customer how can he/she find??? For him/her has to spend money intnernet booth why???
